a post in less than 24 hours

daphne must be bored. actually not... considering there's the last paper next tuesday. hee.
shall do that AFTER this entry yoh?

yes yes. portugal's my favourite!

it used to be just a case of oogling at cute eye candies like luis figo and nuno gomes. it was only later that i realised they played with pretty interesting tactics..

and with the intro of scolari (is that how you spell his name) as the coach, they are playing better and better! being one of the few teams that won all the matches at the group stages.

PLUS, the team never fails to generate more eye candies for me.

CHRISTIANO ronaldo! abit young though and way too hot headed. not suave enough like figo. but that takes time i suppose.

alright. enough about portugal...

i need motivation

as i revise my work.. i realised how much i forget. all that re-learning is taking its toil on me. its like, i know i know it but yet i can't remember it at all.

revision is coming along really s.l.o.w.l.y

sometimes i wonder if this is the path for me.
can i even make it?
i feel like im losing it.
losing the ability to remember and apply my knowledge..
i am scaring myself to bits.

uncertainty is consuming me.
i need to get some control over my life.

NB: daphne is expressing her paranoia about the upcoming exams.
you could tell, couldn't you?

I go crazy

Hello boy it's been a while
Guess you'll be glad to know
That I've learned how to laugh and smile
Getting over you was slow
They say old lovers can be good friends
But I never thought I'd really see you
I'd really see you again

I go crazy
When I look in your eyes I still go crazy
No my heart just can't hide that old feelin' inside
Way deep down inside
Oh, baby, you know when I look in your eyes I go crazy

You say she satisfies your mind
Tells you all of her dreams
I know how much that means to you
I realize that I was blind
Just when I thought I was over you
I see your face and it just ain't true

I go crazy
When I look in your eyes I still go crazy
That old flame comes alive, it starts burning inside
Way deep down inside
Oh, baby, you know when I look in your eyes I go crazy
I go crazy

stress~

i hate exams. it screws up your sleep pattern, your eating pattern, your time distribution.. everything.

and the thing that makes it all so much worse is that i still have classes to attend. COME ON, would talking about effective communication help you pass your exams?

it's crazy shit. sooo much to study..

and btw, this is my 5th exam in adelaide.
still not used to it.

hellpppppppp~

the weirdest things u read in pamphlets

Having to do an assignment on early childhood development has just exposed me to the array of pamphlets they have. Rows after rows of pamphlets on topics imaginable and unimaginable. Some of them are really informative, others are just plain weird shit.

My favourite example:

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN THE BABY IS HUNGRY?

Feeding cues #5
Frantic searching for the breast

day 7. port arthur

top row (L-R)
mum outside our cottage place! the place is damn nice and damn big. AHHH! and they have cheap beer in the bar fridge as well. lagers made in tassie taste heaps better den coopers from SA man.

erm. thats me. chained up! with the heavy iron chains that the prisoners in port arthur had to wear ALL DAY in the past.

view of the water surrounding port arthur.

middle row (L-R)
row of english oak trees

church in port arthur

view of port arthur

last row (L-R)
flowers in the garden in port arthur.

port arthur was one of the biggest convict settlements in australia. what could be worse den banishing these prisoners to australia.. and especially to.. TASMANIA? port arthur was chosen coz it was SO secluded, surrounded by water on one side and crazy forest on the other.

right now in 21st century, port arthur looks like a peaceful and picturesque place. obviously things werent so rosy in the past. they conduct ghost tours at night for tourists to be 'able' to see some.. friends. lol

day 6 wineglass bay

day 6 was spent at Freycinet National Park. there's a million bays and beaches in this park. we climbed up to the wineglass bay lookout (took about 1+ hour: steep ascent!) although the weather was gloomy, the view of the bay was still magnificent.

u might wonder why its called the wineglass bay. well, eons ago in the 1890s ish time period this area was famous for whale hunting. whales in those days were really sought after. they would use the whale bones to make corsets and structures of big frumpy victorian dresses. they would use the blubber for fuel and stuff. so yeah, the Englishmen loved whales. As such, this bay was almost always covered with whale blood (which is red! dohhh) so when some explorer decided to climb the mountains in the area, he looked down at the bay, realised that 1. it was shaped like a wineglass 2. it was bloody red resembling wine... and taa-daa! wineglass bay. have to respect the English for being so erm. creative. lol

top row: corner left: the wineglass bay itself!
top row middle: my stupid sister at the lookout. she was too tired to really smile. lol
top row right: my sister and the wallabe! at the wineglass bay ITSELF. yeah we were super onz and walked all the way DOWN to the bay itself.

middle row: views from the bay
the water is bloody clear and u can see stuff like starfish and all. wow i didnt know they really existed! and the wallabee at the beach was SUPER friendly. tink it wanted food from us. poor chap.

last row middle: in the afternoon after lunch, we went to a berry farm! the place was berry-fied. they sold bottles of berry jam, berry juice, berry ice cream, berry yoghurt.. u name it.
purple flower: from berry farm. lol

day 5 part 2

At bicheno, we went for the penguin tour at night. When dusk falls, penguins will cease their fish hunting out at sea and return to shore for rest and mating. the penguins that u see in australia are called fairy penguins, prolly coz they are so tiny. they are much much smaller den the ones in south pole. the penguin in the middle of the top row looks weird coz he is undergoing the moulting process. so he sheds feathers and gained fat mass.

the rest of the collage are pics of flowers that we see in bicheno. all pretty pretty.

day 5 part 1

top row (L-R)
cataract gorge. a man made nice scenic park in launcentson. it's one of the bigger city areas in tasmania. there's a nice suspension bridge in cataract gorge that u can jump on and freak all the others that are standing on the bridge. hoho

yet another waterfall. just as spectacular. except we spotted leeches in the forest. which made us all scared and wary of our blood sucking friends.

our spot for lunch! just some really random river. can u imagine? random river also so nice one!

middle row (L-R)
my mum and Gostavov - this brazilian guy who is shit funny and damn interesting. also at lunch spot

mum and i at bicheno, the red rocks beach. bicheno's a small sea side town that really neat.

view of the beach at bicheno

last row (L-R)
dead penguin along the beach :(

pretty flowers!!! :) along the beach too

bicheno blowhole! it's a hole created in the rocks from the water erosion by the seawaves. as a result when the tide comes in, the water will spurt from the hole! forming a water fountain thingy that comes and goes with the tide.

tassie day 4

lets talk abt collage above first.

day 4 was spent most at Cradle Mountain National Park. it's this crazy place with loads of nice mountains that were covered with bits of snow when we were there. apparently it was snowing like mad 2 weeks ago and the snow we saw was left over from that time.

We couldnt climb up cradle mountain itself but we climbed to the summit of its neighboring peak (which was lower) the view along the way was just breathtaking. we see lakes forming, river water flowing from the mountain, nice mountains and weird plants.

mum sis and i looked like we were gonna be blown away in pic in top row. almost true. wind was really strong and it was just so cool. ho ho ho

pic BELOW:
the one on the right is cradle mountain itself. the middle pic was taken on the last leg of the hike. the first pic was.. i cant remember. some grass along the way i suppose. lol
