i spent a good part of friday night bitching online with a fren who feels the same as me, regarding certain issues. it's funny how things that eirk you also crack you up. haha. anyway, friend, if you reading, *snigger*, don't bother too much about it lah. over anyway and we won't be stupid enough to have a 2nd go at it.

and friday night we watched pirates 1 at home! it's so damn funny. why did i not watch it when it was screening at the cinemas?? and saturday we went to watch pirates 2. now i cant watch for the 3rd one. :)

ITS FINALLY FRIDAY!

:) :) :) :) :) :) survived a whole week of uni!

there are plenty of things that i am grateful for the last week.

1. a functional and effective PBL group, where people contribute positively and are focused on the task at hand.

2. a equally good PBL tutor who directs us in the right direction for learning, allocate enough time for things and tell us when certain knowledge is not necessary.

3. a wonderful, loving and entirely cute and sweet boyfriend who is always there for me. In times of instant mee & frozen food eating during the stressful exam period, to times of bridgewater mill and esca splurge on ourselves. Thanks for always being there for me and I love you to bits! :)

I wanted to talk about something more serious.

when people make comments about you and/or the things that you do. does it bother you? should it bother you?

back to same old life

i survived 3 days of uni! :)

and we got back our case write-ups (that we do on patients that we have interviewed and examined) and i think i did better than i expected. so i guess i did do some right things last semester. haha. even though when the exams were approaching i was so flustered and scared out of my wits.

anyway...

the 2 couples went to glenelg for the last night. we went to ESCA, a new restaurant that only opened about 14 months ago. we had the seafood risotto and the linguine with baybugs! the baybugs were soooo yummy. *slurp*

ended our dinner with a walk along the beach.. and talking about silly things. watching people run in the dark (???) and looking at the sky which was mostly black like ashes...

skipped down to the chocolate bean! they recently changed the menu and i am so not happy about it! :( the indulgence plate used to be a slice of cake, one truffle and a mini bowl of choc soup. now it is just a slice of cake, and 2 shots of dunno what brown shit stuff. AHHH! and a slice of cake used to be 5 bucks. now it is 6.50 :( *wails* i hate it!!!

and my dear visitors woke up at 7.10 for a flight at 9am. they were zooming around the house like mad people. but they made it! haha. so i suppose they are in sydney now, in the hands of yihong my greatest mum. hee

tour guide job

i think i can sign up with the adelaide city council to be a volunteer tour guide already, judging from the number of times that i have brought people around adelaide. haha

the past 4 days has been rather interesting. bringing onnray and clarinda around has been pretty cool. all the usual places, ate good food. so everyone is happy!

uni just started today. PBL tutor is a good one! im happy

ahh!

maddness. had alot of errands to run today.

but i still managed to squeeze in time for a spontaneous chat at the newly opened starbucks (yes adelaide is finally americanised!) with adrian, debby and some of her housemates.

i ordered a grande sized mocha frapp.. not too bad. although the vanilla latte, caramel frap etc were disappointing. i was kinda lucky to get a decent drink. hoho!

went window shopping again.. and yes i finally found a trenchcoat that i like! YAY! cost me 200 bucks but i guess coats are all so expensive. and it's made in australia so the quality was pretty good. but i have to dry clean it. eeeicks.

my bedsheets are currently in the dryer. tumbling tumbling... hope they wash soon.

alright i shall try to sleep early. afterall i got to be up at 5+ am!! -.-

Gateau au Yaourt

look! i made a french yoghurt cake all by myself *wide grin*

i got the basic recipe from a food blog that i frequent.. and i threw it some blueberries, cranberries and walnuts. and the cake turned out so good!!

but right now i have a cake, and there's only jessica and adrian to feed. >.<

stupid sis

boy am i glad my sister is graduating AFTER me.
sorta puts it all in order, doesn't make me look so bad in the end. haha

vic's granny had angina (chest pain) and when hooked onto the ECG (a weird machine) it showed that she had atrial ectopic beats ( extra random beats from your heart that doesn't follow the normal pattern)

so they saw a cardiologist (doc who specialises in the hearty stuff) whom told them that granny has to be hospitalised on monday and get an angiogram (thingy that looks at the heart) to see how well heart is.

if heart is not too good, they will do an angioplasty (op to insert wire like thing into coronary arteries to get it checked) and if there is narrowing of the arteries they might put a stent in to correct the blood flow.

whilst everything sounds simple and dandy if it goes according to plan, complications can arise and granny might get sicker over the weekend.

procedures always sounds simple but i swear it is so shit-scary!

vic is supposed to delay his flight to look after granny.

and if he does, i am going to perform a one (w0)man show bringing onnray and clarinda around.

i am so not up to it!

i swear, botanics apartment should kill the caretaker. he should be at botanics all the time ain't it! but he wasn't there today when the electrician wanted to have a look at the main switchboard thing. now poor edwin... has minimal hot water to work with. but oh well. he told me that he doesnt require hot water today. err i wonder what that means?

spent a good part of my life reading 'jamie's italy'. it was rather inspiring! i feel like going out to buy the 'freshest produce' to make my own home cooked food. but what's the point of cooking if there is no one around to share in the flavours?

so i got to wait till victor chia comes back.

i went to central market today! yoohoo. i fought off the temptation to buy bubble tea :) so proud of myself. bought fruits, vegies and sausages! i wanted to buy cheese but nah... another time.

it's only another week by myself! awwwe. i miss myself.

is love really important?

some people give up love to pursue other things in life. love was sitting nicely in their arms and they decided they didn't want to have anything to do with it.

'greener pastures', their voices echoed.

but why would there be greener pastures if the love they had was all that they would need? greener pastures... are they just a fragment of our imaginations that occur when things dont go right? or have they always been in us waiting to be discovered by our mindless souls?

other people seek love like a alcoholic dreams of liquor. it's the drug of choice for any soul that is weary; any one that is suffering, or simply wanting something more in their regimented life. they crave it, think of it and jump at the chance to experience it.

why would the same thing cause such oppositional feelings in different people?

would we be the same without love?

friday night live!

big brother can be considered the worst reality show ever but the irony is 5million australians tune in to watch it every night. WTH!?

the plumber finally came to fix vic's hot water heater. turns out one of the heating elements melted (don't ask how or why). no wonder lah. now we don't have to chiong to the bathroom (the later person usually have to bathe in ice water)

spent the past few days watching dvds, going to the gym etc.. haha quite fun.

i am thinking of reorgansing my notes.

it might be abit too.. drastic. how huh!

shit lah i just cleaned my room and now i see dust.

i hate dust.

sat down with jess (my housemate) with a pot of brewed earl grey & blue flower tea. had quite a long chat about .. random stuff. heh. kinda nice.

my room improvement project is kinda working. almost done packing. time to move things around to make it neater. and note to self: move matteress to garage so can put boxes under the bed!

yoohoo.

and my bruise is finally almost gone-ish.

vita chia is back home! byebye baby. kinda nice to be alone.

and i think i might regret saying this in a few days time
